Each room has an en suite bathroom with towels, soap, and tea and coffee making facilities which can be removed when younger guests are staying. We do not charge guests a single room supplement fee when staying midweek, meaning up to 94 guests can be accommodated in single rooms at no extra costs.
Our residential prices include the use of a meeting room and a seminar room to suit the size of your group. Two refreshment breaks a day are also included. One free place is offered to the conference organiser when bringing more than 50 delegates. Youth groups are offered one free leaders place for every 14 children in the group.
The dining room, lounge and all conference rooms are located on the ground floor making King’s Park an ideal venue for elderly and special needs groups. thirty seven of our bedrooms are located on the ground floor with three of them specially adapted for residential guests who are wheelchair users. These bedrooms can be booked on request.
In line with current legislation and for the comfort of all our guests, King’s Park operates a no smoking policy throughout all our buildings. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere on the site.
Guests who wish to attend residential conferences, but are unable to stay overnight, are invited to attend as day visitors. A small fee is payable for day visitors, which includes refreshment breaks, and those wishing to have lunch or dinner will be charged appropriately.
For groups needing additional bed space, accommodation is available locally should you have guests wishing to attend your conference as day visitors. Some of these have been used on a fairly regular basis and come with a good recommendation.
Several groups use the centre as a base to explore local attractions on a bed and breakfast basis, or arrange for our catering team to provide a delicious packed lunch before returning for an evening meal. A group’s length of stay can vary from overnight, right through to a full week long retreat. However, we cannot offer self catering facilities to groups.
